Revival of the Lost Legacy is a dance-driven research and performance project, codifying a new contemporary dance technique based on Chinese Classical Dance. This project illuminates a path to cross-cultural engagement and inclusiveness by de-marginalizing Chinese Classical Dance using the sensibilities of Western contemporary dance. Our vision is to shift the dance landscape and forge an inclusive representation of American dance culture.
AAPI HEROES
AAPI HEROES is an immersive show where we follow our young explorer, Kai, on a captivating journey across time that pays homage to great Asian American icons—inspired by iconic Asian Figures such as Anna May Wong, Hollywood's first Chinese American star, and Bruce Lee, a legend in martial arts and philosophy. It also brings to life the mythic NuWa, Goddess of Creation, and the global K-pop phenomenon.
Through the lens of Western contemporary dance, AAPI HEROES seeks to elevate and integrate Asian American stories into the broader narrative of American culture, promoting cross-cultural understanding and inclusiveness. Our vision is to transform the artistic landscape and ensure a diverse representation in American dance and theater.
